Join me at One Urban Tribe in Lowell, MA, for Nature ROCKS! The opening reception is October 3rd, 5:30pm-7:30pm, and the closing reception is October 24th, 5:30pm-7:30pm. The showing will be hanging in this beautiful crystal shop October 3rd-31st.
This body of work brings together five years of exploration in the natural landscape, with a focus on autumn and Earth’s rock formations. I am drawn to nature for its organic colors, shapes, and sense of spiritual ease. Working primarily in acrylic and egg tempera, I build translucent layers to create an ethereal atmosphere. Through intentional brushwork and heightened color, I guide the viewer’s eye while painting not only what I observe, but how I remember and experience the landscape. Intuitive painting from imagination is central to my process. By relying less on photography and more on memory and instinct, I continue to strengthen my visual language and deepen my connection to the natural world.
